India is known as land of festivals and if we are talking about Pushkar, it is not less then city of festival whole around year celebration are going to happen in Pushkar.

If You Are in Rajasthan in the second week of January, then Pushkar is the perfect spot to witness something different out of from your syllabus. On 14 January kite festival is celebrated all around India. But if we are talking about Pushkar, then kite celebration in Pushkar is on another level. You can see the craze of festival in Pushkar before five days of actual kite celebration.
All the market is covered and decorated with colourful kites .
Long queues are waiting for their turn to get kites and threads .
On the day of 14 January all markets are completely empty.
People closes the shop and everyone is on the roof with their childrens .
Parents who normally find their children hard to get out of bed for school will find them setting the alarm for 5 am on 14th Jan., to get up and start flying kites in the ideal pre-dawn wind.
The atmosphere is wonderfully festive, as whole families gather on the rooftop, special foods. Roofs are completely full with people and big speakers .
Loud music are played in all four sides . Kites of all shapes and sizes are flown, and the main competition is to battle nearby kite-flyers to cut their strings and bring down their kites.
In the evening, people give farewell to the festival with lot of firecrackers and fire lamps that time complete sky is getting colourful and the view is mesmerising.
